New Zealand captain Abby Erceg provides made a habit of in the lead. In 2014 she became the first New Zealander - man or woman - to reach 100 lids. The gap between 20s in addition to senior was huge, but I think the actual gap has probably closed slightly now with the progress of women’s football all over the world. ”

We have two on the top three teams on the globe (USA and France) within our group, so we are probably going to have to outperform anything we've got done before. ”

One thing New Zealand doesn’t shortage is experience. Their starting side because of their recent internationals against Questionnaire, boasted a combined tally regarding some 900 caps. It is a remarkable figure for virtually every international team, and Erceg says the battle is to maximize that know-how.

“In previous tournaments we have lacked experience, we have been a team that will play our hearts out and hope to obtain a result, ” said Erceg. “Now, we are one of the very most experienced. It is a huge weapon for people, and hopefully we incorporate the use of it to our advantage. We do have a great deal of experience and lots of players that have information about how we can injured these teams. ”.
